Dr. Alan Young is a licensed Doctor of Audiology practicing in Salt Lake City. He earned his Associate Degree from Dixie State University, and his Bachelor’s degree at Southern Utah University. He received his Master’s Degree from the University of Utah in 1996, and in 2004 he completed a Doctor of Audiology Degree from the Arizona School of Health Sciences.
Dr. Young works with Dr. John Aoki at the Ear, Nose and Throat Specialties practice, located in Granger Medical Clinic. He also works with Dr. Peter Ventura, ENT Surgical Specialists, where he enjoys assisting patients who live in Tooele and the surrounding community. In addition, Dr. Young serves as the staff audiologist for Foothill Family Clinic North, located on Foothill Boulevard, Salt Lake City, Utah.
Early in his career, Dr. Young opened The Hearing Zone, located in the Cottonwood Mall. Following the closure of the mall, he decided to relocate his practice to Murray, Utah, in order to provide a convenient location for his existing patients. His philosophy includes taking care of each patient with warm bedside manner, providing exceptional service and offering the best quality hearing aids. He is very pocket-book conscious, and with each hearing aid, he offers a life-time of follow-up care. He understands hearing loss and the challenges that patients face when trying to find a trustworthy professional.
Dr. Young has been in practice for over 20 years and has the skills and expertise needed to deal with difficult and challenging hearing loss. He also teaches and shares his knowledge with one University of Utah fourth -year audiology student intern each year!!
Dr. Young and his wife Teresa live in Herriman. They have five children and two grandchildren.
