Whitney Schroeder is a physician assistant at Heiden Orthopedics and works mainly with Dr. Gibbs. She became a PA by earning her Master of Medical Science degree from Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale. Prior to joining the team at Heiden Orthopedics, she worked in sports medicine and orthopedic trauma in her hometown of Dallas, Texas.
Whitney is a Summa Cum Laude graduate of Auburn University as well as a member of their NCAA Division I volleyball team. She then went on to earn a Master’s degree in Exercise Physiology from Auburn prior to beginning PA school. Whitney’s personal experience as a student-athlete is the driving force behind her interest in orthopedics and sports medicine. She enjoys being directly involved in the care, treatment, and recovery process of patients, helping them return to active lifestyles.
Whitney and her husband Kyle enjoy being active and participating in a variety of sports — particularly volleyball, soccer, water skiing, snow skiing, hiking, and cycling.
